I will figure out a healthier version but for now, enjoy yourself & your Mother's Day.
2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
2 cups white sugar (if you like it sweet, otherwise start with 1 and go from there)
¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
1 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
(optional) I added sliced Banana on top which you won't regret!
Preheat oven to 350d and mix all ingredients together. I find it easier when you first add together all dry and then all wet ingredients on top.
Bake it for 25-30 Min; until top is no longer shiny and let sit for at least 10 minutes before cutting.
I decided to try only one half with the bananas to taste the difference. If you do decide to add the banana, you might wanna consider adding 5 minutes to the timer as the bananas change the baking time.
You can also try to add them on the bottom instead of on top.
This recipe is by Allrecipes but I wanted to share my Banana addition. :D
Enjoy your Day & new recipe.
I always give credit to the cook if I didn't create the recipe because I respect their diligence and creativity.
This blog is my favorite recipes in a little virtual book for me to find it easier and to share them with you.
I am often being asked how to start being vegan or what my favorite recipes are which is why I've created this blog in the first place. I hope this helps you and brings you joy as much as it brings me joy.
